Veterinary Business Manager – Digital Services

Location:

Northern England & Scotland

Salary: £39,000 – £40,000 base plus bonus up to £7,000 – £15,000

Benefits:

At Royal Canin, we are passionate about improving pet health through science‑based nutrition. We are looking for a driven, dynamic Digital Services Business Manager to help transform the pet health sector through technology.

The Role

This field‑based role covers a large area of Northern England and Scotland. You will spearhead the growth and adoption of our digital recommendation services within the veterinary community, recruit veterinary clinics to our digital platforms, drive product recommendations, and ensure partners are engaged and proficient with Royal Canin’s digital tools.

You will forge long‑lasting relationships with veterinary clinics and hospitals, act as the primary contact for our digital services, and participate in 2–3 key industry events per year – some weekend work required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities to expand our digital footprint.
  • Recruit veterinary clinics to the digital recommendation service and increase usage of our digital platforms.
  • Educate and train veterinary staff on the functionality and benefits of our digital systems.
  • Manage a territory of up to 750 accounts, including independent and corporate veterinary clinics, hospitals, and charities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams – Veterinary Business Managers, Marketing, and Key Accounts – to deliver a seamless customer experience and achieve business objectives.
  • Represent Royal Canin at trade shows, seminars, and conferences as a brand ambassador.
  • Gather and report market intelligence, including competitor activity and customer feedback, to inform strategy.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proactive and results‑driven individual with passion for digital technology and the veterinary industry.
  • Professional qualification in IT, science, or related field.
  • Experience working with digital systems.
  • Strong planning and problem‑solving skills, customer‑focused mindset.
  • Strong presentation, communication and IT skills (proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Desirable Experience
  • Proven sales or account management track record.
  • In‑depth knowledge or direct experience of the veterinary industry.
