Job Title:

Handy Person – Reactive Maintenance

Location:

Covering Nottingham to Newcastle
Our client is a leading facilities management company providing high-quality reactive and planned maintenance services including Painting and Decorating across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a skilled and reliable Handy Person to join their team, covering reactive maintenance jobs from Nottingham to Newcastle.

The Role:

As a Handy Person, you will be responsible for attending various client sites to carry out a wide range of reactive maintenance tasks including Painting and Decorating. You will need to be adaptable, able to work independently, and deliver excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responding to reactive maintenance requests across multiple sites

• Carrying out general repairs and maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, joinery, decorating, and minor electrical work

• Identifying and reporting any major repair needs, taking photographs and notes of the repair enabling them to be accessed

• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with health & safety regulations

• Keeping accurate records of work completed and materials used

• Providing a professional and friendly service to clients
Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance or handy person role

• Strong multi-trade skills (basic plumbing, carpentry, painting & decorating, etc.)

• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

• Full UK clean driving licence

• Use of own van and tools

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Good IT skills able to use a tablet and mobile phone

• Able to pass a DBS check

• A valid CSCS card (desirable but not essential)
