Gas Engineer

Position: Gas Engineer (Permanent)
A leading construction and facilities management company is seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join the Rotherham division, on a full time, permanent basis. Having been established for over 50 years they are a forward thinking business, with an excellent reputation.

Responsibilities:

* Carry out the safe servicing, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and heating systems in both residential and commercial properties

* Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and necessary fault-finding

* Ensure all work is completed to high safety and efficiency standards, in line with current regulations

* Provide timely response to emergency call-outs and breakdowns

* Keep detailed and accurate records of all work undertaken, including materials used and time spent

* Communicate effectively with clients and tenants, offering clear explanations of work required and future maintenance guidance

* Participate in the on-call rota to ensure responsive cover outside of normal working hours

Requirements

* Current Gas Safe Registration (with valid Gas Safe )

* NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Gas Engineering or equivalent

* Proven experience in the installation, servicing, and repair of gas appliances - fire, cookers, boilers

* Full UK driving licence

* Background in a repairs and maintenance or property services environment

* This full-time role includes participation in an on-call rota for out-of-hours breakdown support.
