Join Lanes Group as a Reinstatement Operative to support Yorkshire Water’s Wastewater Network for five years and beyond.

Location: Bradford, Yorkshire.

Hours: 50 hours per week (Mon–Fri 7am–5pm). Overtime available at time and a half.

Salary: To be discussed (weekly pay).

About the Role

Work within a highly skilled team to: replace manhole frames and covers; excavate hand–by–hand; reinstall gullies; complete all types of reinstatements (paving, tarmac, concrete, etc.); keep sites live for highway compliance; and maintain equipment and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Replace manhole frames and covers efficiently.
• Excavate by hand and replace gullies with precision and care.
• Carry out all types of reinstatements (paving, tarmac, concrete, etc.).
• Perform site‑specific risk assessments and communicate changes with team members and supervisors.
• Ensure sites are live to avoid penalties with highway permits.
• Complete site documentation using electronic tablets.
• Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently.
• Record photographic evidence of completed work.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Wear and maintain personal protective equipment.
• Maintain highway compliance to avoid defects.
• Read and understand drainage plans.

Experience and Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (required).
• Training: NPORS, Banksman, Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid, NRSWA, EUSR National Water Hygiene, Asbestos Awareness, Slinger and Signaller, Abrasive Wheels, Calm Water, EUSR Safe Dig – Cat & Genny, EUSR Water, Face Fit Tested – FFP
