ABOUT THE ENGAGE TEAM.

As a team, ENGAGE is part of the OUTSTANDING First Response Service alongside the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH); 4 Duty Teams; the Out of Hours Service and EVOLVE (CSE team).

We are currently looking to recruit a Team Manager for ENGAGE.

The ENGAGE team offers a crisis response to families to divert children away from the care system and remain safely within their families wherever possible. They achieve this by offering intensive targeted interventions to support families for a period of 6 to 8 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead your team to reach outstanding outcomes for young people and their families.
  • Be responsible for the learning and development of your staff and quality assurance of their work.
  • Remain child-focused in decision making.
  • Promote a strengths-based approach.
  • Offer high quality, reflective supervision to social workers.
  • Add value and make the most of available resources with young people in mind.

You will be a ‘critical friend’ to your team, providing high support and high challenge. You will provide leadership, direction and support to your team to achieve outstanding service delivery for children and their families.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A Social Work qualification and is registered with Social Work England.
  • A good understanding of working with and responding to crisis.
  • A passion for improving outcomes for young people.
  • Management/leadership experience.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Motivation and resilience to achieve the best outcomes for young people across all services.
  • You will be passionate about keeping children safely cared for within their family.
