At Rotherham Enablement Service, we work alongside people within our communities who may have experienced illness, injury, a hospital stay, or significant changes in their circumstances. Our aim is to support individuals to rebuild their confidence, learn or relearn everyday skills, and maximise their independence.

Unlike traditional home care services, our focus is on empowering people to do things for themselves rather than doing things for them. Through encouragement, practical support, and goal-focused interventions, we help people take positive steps towards living independently.

About the Role

As an Enablement Support Worker, you will visit people in their own homes and communities, providing personalised support based on their individual goals and needs.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, dressing, meal preparation, and mobility.
• Encouraging people to develop their skills and confidence to complete tasks independently.
• Promoting health, wellbeing, and social inclusion.
• Assisting people to access community resources, activities, and local support networks.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, health professionals, families, and carers to achieve positive outcomes.
