Key Responsibilities
- Ensure strong financial governance, statutory compliance, and consistent accounting delivery while acting as trusted business partner to terminal management.
- Ensure full compliance with local corporate, accounting, and tax laws.
- Oversee preparation, review, and submission of statutory accounts, tax filings, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, including planning, execution, and follow‑up of audit actions.
- Manage cash flow, financing arrangements, insurance coverage, and local banking activities.
- Act as finance lead for joint venture matters, shareholder governance, and concession obligations.
- Collaborate closely with the Finance Shared Service Centre to ensure high‑quality period and year‑end closings.
- Lead, coach, and develop a small (partly remote) accounting team, promoting collaboration and capability building.
- Continuous improvement mindset – curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time.
- Leadership expectation – consistently put customers first, lead by example with respect for people, deliver results with integrity, and drive continuous improvement.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline;
Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification is an advantage. - 8–10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance within a complex or regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, statutory reporting, audit processes, and tax compliance.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate across functions without direct reporting authority.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex, ambiguous business situations objectively.
- Clear communicator with strong stakeholder management skills in an international context.
- Fluency in English and solid Dutch language skills.
