Norday is a Dutch consultancy that helps organisations navigate and lead change by combining strategy, design, technology, and domain knowledge. Working with multidisciplinary teams, Norday serves clients in healthcare and welfare, culture, education, government, NGOs, and climate tech, tackling complex societal challenges and turning them into concrete, workable solutions. Its work spans transformation strategy, digital and data strategy, new products and services, and AI applications.
Norday is part of Handpicked and holds B Corp certification, meaning social and ecological impact are embedded in how it operates and evaluates performance.
This position exists to help organisations in the care and welfare sector transform through future-proof solutions that are designed with and for people. You would work from a long-term perspective on complex challenges with genuine societal impact, moving across the full arc from strategy through to implementation. Your initial focus would be on clients in the healthcare and welfare domain, with organisations spread across the Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Noord-Brabant, and Limburg regions.
You would collaborate with care organisations, sector associations, care professionals, insurers, and government bodies, working toward solutions that improve quality of life for people, job satisfaction for care professionals, and the future of care and welfare as a whole. You would be part of a fixed multidisciplinary team alongside a project manager and colleagues from other disciplines.
You would facilitate joint vision and strategy development with clients, incorporating societal trends, policy frameworks, and future scenarios into the process. You would organise and guide co-creation sessions with clients, stakeholders, and end users, exploring new possibilities together, making choices, and developing concepts. You would analyse existing services and design improved or entirely new service concepts, including digital services from initial research through to an implementation plan.
You would gather and translate insights into customer journeys and service blueprints, and you would manage stakeholders while supporting decision-making processes. Integrating AI into your working practice is a core part of the role: you would use AI to move more quickly from insights to possibilities, to strengthen co-creation sessions, and to test ideas at an early stage. You would also explore how AI can contribute to new services, better experiences, and value for organisations and the people who use them.
You would inspire clients with your perspective on trends, societal developments, and the possibilities of new technology.
You would need at least four years of working experience with design thinking, digital service design, and facilitating workshops and co-creation sessions. You should be able to move easily between strategic thinking and hands-on concept development and prototyping. Norday is looking for someone who takes ownership of their research, the question behind the question, and the design itself, maintaining quality, keeping the team sharp, and taking responsibility for what is delivered.
You should be curious about the possibilities of AI and already experimenting with it in your own work, seeing it not only as a tool but as a new way of conducting research, collaborating, designing, and testing ideas. You should communicate clearly and persuasively, bringing both the team and clients along with you in choices and direction. You would need to be creative and analytical, energised by translating opportunities into impactful solutions.
