This role is part of the Investment Project Execution & Governance (IPEG) team and supports the Project Manager(s) in achieving the objectives of multiple construction projects.

• Support Project Manager(s) in reaching the goals of one or more simultaneous projects in construction-related matters.
• Oversee the execution of the construction phase, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, budget, and relationship with the site organisation.
• Act as a construction expert during early project stages: lead and host constructability reviews, conduct construction hazard analyses, and provide constructability/construction plans.
• Organise the review and field checking of job definitions by the project construction team.
• Manage the construction work in accordance with Neste’s operating model, maintaining compliance with agreed scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Lead a team of 2‑10 Neste supervisors, work planners, and 2‑150 construction contractor staff/workers.
• Track construction scope, schedule, and costs for changes, collaborating with discipline engineers, cost controllers, and the project manager; prepare field change orders and lead the approval process.
• Share Construction Management best practices within the organisation and projects.
• Provide input for cost estimation (e.g., required construction management/supervision hours, scaffolding quantities, crane usage).
• Lead the technical aspect of contractor bid evaluations and contract negotiations.
• Resourcing the project construction team together with the Construction Team Lead.
• Report construction schedule progress and status according to agreed principles.
• Manage the supervisory work of different work types in the installation, construction, and start‑up phase.
• Lead construction meetings with project contractors.
• Release executed work in Neste’s ERP system for payment.
• Ensure red‑pen as‑built documentation and relevant quality documentation are ready before Mechanical Completion.
• Prepare and lead the Mechanical Completion process and subsequent forms.
• Act as a focal point for contractor technical queries.
• Ensure construction activities fulfil site safe working practices, procedures, and that all required documents (e.g., Task Risk Analysis, Override Forms, Work Permits) are in place and signed off by stakeholders.

• B.Sc. in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the construction of process plants.
• Overall knowledge of multidisciplinary construction elements.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Must pass a health examination including a drug test; a security clearance may be required with consent.
