Buyer, Construction & Industrial Projects

I am looking for a Buyer for a Main Contractor -  within the Dutch infrastructure and industrial sector.

You will be working in a  smaller, close-knit team with a strong family culture , where people know each other, decisions are made quickly, and impact is visible on-site.

Your Role
You will be responsible for sourcing, tendering, and managing subcontractors across a range of  industrial construction packages , ensuring the right partners, pricing, and contract conditions are in place.

You will work closely with engineering and project teams and act as the commercial interface to the subcontractor and supplier market.

Scope of Procurement

Mechanical installation contractors (mechanische montage contractors)

What You Will Do

Lead RFQs and tender processes for subcontracted work packages

Identify and manage  local subcontractors and suppliers in the NL/BE region

Conduct commercial bid evaluations and negotiations

Manage contracts, variations, and supplier performance

Ensure alignment with project scope, schedule, and cost objectives

What We Are Looking For

Experience in procurement of  civil, structural, and/or mechanical packages

Strong knowledge of  local subcontractor markets (Netherlands / Belgium)

Experience in  construction or industrial project environments

Strong understanding of  tendering, subcontracting, and contract management

Confident negotiator with strong stakeholder skills
