Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will work within the Data Sharing team on the development of a modern Azure data platform that plays an important role in the energy transition. You collect, analyze and combine various data products within Databricks and translate them into a generic information model for external parties within the energy sector. You will work with a variety of data sources and build reliable and scalable data solutions that contribute to a future‑proof energy grid.

Within this role, you will work closely with solution architects, data analysts, Scrum teams and other network operators. In addition, you will coordinate terminologies and data models with external parties and continuously work on optimization and innovation of existing data products and processes.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Developing data products within the Azure data platform
• Working with Databricks and Delta Lake
• Design and optimization of ELT/ETL processes
• Analyzing and combining different data streams
• Developing information models and data solutions
• Collaborate with Scrum teams, data analysts and solution architects
• Coordinating with other network operators on terminology and data standards
• Working with JSON‑LD and API links
• Implementing software engineering principles such as Git and CI/CD
• Contributing to the energy transition and future‑proof networks

• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
• Excellent command of the Dutch language (C2 level)
• Experience with ELT/ETL processes
• Experience with SQL and Python
• Experience with Databricks and Delta Lake
• Experience with the common information model (TC57CI
  M) of Netbeheer Nederland
• Experience with modern Azure data platforms
