Buyer – Industrial Project

The role  As a Tactical Buyer, you are responsible for procurement within complex industrial projects. You ensure that the right suppliers, materials, and subcontractors are selected and contracted under the best commercial and technical conditions.
You act as the link between project teams, engineering, and the market, supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.
Manage end-to-end procurement for project-based work packages
Lead RFQ processes, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations
Coordinate closely with engineering, project management, and site teams
Monitor supplier performance, risks, and contract compliance
Analyze procurement data and identify opportunities for improvement
Act as a sparring partner to internal stakeholders
Experience required (work packages)  You have procurement experience within  industrial / technical environments , ideally involving:
Mechanical equipment (e.g. pumps, valves, rotating/static equipment)
Piping & materials
Civil works & structural packages
E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation)
Experience as a Buyer or Tactical Buyer within industry, construction, or EPC projects
Strong in  vendor management and contract management
Comfortable working in a  project-driven environment
Hands-on, proactive, and able to challenge stakeholders
Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
Able to work independently while collaborating across disciplines
Fluent in Dutch (required)  and good command of English
