Role Purpose
Lead the design, integration, verification and deployment of advanced industrial automation and electrical systems for next‑generation offshore motion compensation equipment and maritime robotics solutions. Apply rigorous systems engineering practices to delivery highly reliable, safety‑critical and scalable automation architectures suitable for demanding offshore environments.

Responsibilities

lead the electrical and industrial automation design activities for advanced offshore motion compensation systems and integrated maritime robotic solutions

develop complete electrical system architectures including power distribution, control cabinets, industrial networking and field instrumentation

design electrical schematics, cabinet layouts and wiring diagrams using EPLAN (mandatory)

develop and maintain PLC, HMI and industrial automation software architectures

integrate electrical, embedded, hydraulic, mechanical and control subsystems into coherent and robust automation solutions

contribute to development of safety‑critical architectures including Safety PLC systems and emergency shutdown concepts

configure, commission and troubleshoot industrial drive systems, servo systems and motion‑control platforms

support commissioning and tuning of electrical and/or hydraulic actuators and motion systems

develop and maintain HMI interfaces and operator control systems

support integration of OPC‑UA communication architectures and distributed industrial data systems

configure and troubleshoot industrial computer networks and TCP/IP‑based communication systems

support implementation of operational telemetry, logging and time‑series data infrastructures

supervise electrical integration, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), harbour testing and offshore commissioning activities

establish and maintain rigorous configuration management, documentation and traceability practices for all automation deliverables

define electrical and automation verification and validation strategies, from unit‑level verification up to full hardware‑in‑the‑loop and integrated system testing

support supplier qualification, technical procurement reviews and vendor coordination activities

collaborate closely with Project Managers, Lead Engineers and embedded/control engineers on integrated system development

support troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and operational performance optimization

mentor junior engineers and contribute to growth of the electrical and automation engineering discipline

ensure compliance with applicable offshore, industrial safety and X‑Laboratory Quality system standards

Qualifications
Education

B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics or equivalent

candidates with strong practical industrial automation backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply

Technical skill & experience

mandatory professional experience with EPLAN for electrical design and documentation

strong experience with industrial PLC systems including Siemens, Bachmann, Schneider Electric and/or Beckhoff platforms

experience with Safety PLC systems and industrial safety architectures is required

strong experience with industrial communication protocols and fieldbus systems (e.g. Profinet, Ether
