Senior Field Service Engineer

Step into a dynamic role as a  Senior Service Engineer – Navigation System s, where you will be at the forefront of delivering advanced maritime technology to vessels worldwide. In this position, you will take ownership of commissioning, maintaining, and optimizing cutting‑edge navigation systems, contributing directly to safer, smarter, and more sustainable vessel operations. Working within a collaborative and international engineering environment, you will combine hands‑on technical problem‑solving with close customer interaction, gaining exposure to complex projects across Europe and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, and service a wide range of  marine navigation systems (including RADAR, GPS, ECDIS, and related technologies)

Perform system inspections, testing, and validation during vessel construction and retrofitting projects

Configure and fine‑tune systems according to project requirements and contractual standards

Support sea trials and provide onboard warranty assistance when required

Deliver system demonstrations and handovers to shipowners, shipyards, and classification authorities

Troubleshoot technical issues, carry out repairs, and implement system upgrades

Maintain accurate service documentation and reporting

Your Background

Technical qualification in electronics, automation, navigation, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)

Proven hands‑on experience working with marine navigation systems (e.g., RADAR, GPS, ECDIS)

Background in field service, commissioning, or technical support in a similar environment

Practical, structured, and solution‑driven mindset

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in international settings

Fluency in Dutch and English

Willingness to travel frequently within Europe and occasionally worldwide
