The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated Commissioning Engineer to join our Grid Integration team based in Rotterdam or Zaventem. In this field‑based role, you will lead the final and most critical phase of engineering projects—bringing complex systems safely and successfully to life. You will play a key role from pre‑commissioning to client handover, ensuring compliance, quality, and performance.

This position offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in high‑voltage environments, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to the energy transition in a hands‑on way.
Responsibilities   Plan and execute commissioning schedules, manuals, and test procedures.
Deliver quality results on time and within budget, resolving issues and driving continuous improvement.
Produce documentation and reports that meet client and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with customers, third‑party providers, and government agencies to secure approvals and sign‑offs.
Conduct risk assessments and safety tours; implement mitigation strategies.
Mentor engineers, technicians, and support staff during commissioning activities.
Support proposal development, technical sales, and contract scope assessments.
Coordinate supply chain for commissioning tools and services.
Qualifications   Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning engineering within industrial or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and project documentation.
Excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills.
Leadership ability and a proactive mindset.
Willingness to travel extensively within the region and occasionally abroad.
