PAC Engineer

Vacancy information  As a PAC Engineer, you’ll be at the technical core of our high-voltage energy projects. From protection relay design to SCADA integration and substation automation, you will ensure that power flows safely and intelligently across our national infrastructure.
Your main responsibilities:
Design and configure protection and control systems for HV/MV substations (10–380 kV).
Program and test IEDs (e.g. Siemens, ABB, SEL) and coordinate with SCADA/RTU systems.
Perform fault studies, relay coordination, and protection logic implementation.
Lead FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities at project sites across the Netherlands.
Ensure compliance with IEC 61850, NEN/EN standards, and Dutch grid codes.
Collaborate with utilities (e.g. TenneT, Enexis, Liander), engineering teams, and contractors.
What do you need  Who are you?
A Bachelor’s or Master’s graduate in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
3+ years of hands‑on experience in protection and control systems for utility‑scale power projects.
Skilled in tools like DIGSI, PCM
600, AcSELerator or equivalent relay software.
Familiar with IEC 61850, SCADA integration, and Dutch energy regulations.
Fluent in English, with strong communication and problem‑solving skills. (Dutch is a plus)
Flexible and willing to travel to project sites nationwide.
