Your part in Neste journey As a Process Engineer you will report to the Process Engineering Supervisor and work closely with the other Process Engineers within the team. You will also work closely with the Operations and Maintenance departments. As a Senior Process Engineer you will be responsible for an assigned area of the Refinery Operations. You will focus on the mid to long term unit operations (7 days to 1 year) and support Operations with day to day unit monitoring to ensure compliant, safe, reliable and efficient operations.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities Technical expert of the assigned unit’s technology.
Identify deviations and provide pragmatic solutions in line with guidelines.
Ensure the unit operates within environmental boundaries.
Monitor unit performance related to compliance and process safety.
Monitor unit performance related to efficiency (energy, variable costs and Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
Support shut-down/start-up during planned and unplanned events.
Review operational shut-down/start-up instructions.
Represent the Technical Department as a subject‑matter expert in HAZOP/LOPA/Hazid, reliability studies, PSSR activities, and external audits.
Manage process modifications via MOC/tMOC to ensure safe, reliable, compliant, and cost‑efficient production.
Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably chemical engineering.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in petrochemical and/or industrial production as a process engineer.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Effective communication skills in English (mandatory); command of Dutch is preferable.
Experience in renewable processes is an advantage.
