Senior Functional Safety Engineer

For one of our clients in the floating production industry, we are looking for a Senior Functional Safety Engineer.
Our client is a leader in Floating Production Storage & Offloading systems, exploring new frontiers like floating wind and carbon-cutting tech with expert capabilities and a unique, full-lifecycle value proposition.
Purpose     The Senior Engineer's purpose is to design and engineer solutions that achieve high standards of safety, reliability, and sustainability, thereby contributing to the projects and organization's strategic objectives and long-term success.
Responsibilities     You are responsible for the selection of methods and procedures, performance of the work, and optimization of the design within the scope of the specifications, in compliance with international codes, company and industry standards and regulations.
You are responsible for proactively planning and completing activities and deliverables within agreed time frame and budget, as well as for ensuring system interfaces.
You ensure that your Scope of Work is delivered in accordance with both the contractual requirements and SBM’s internal requirements.
You ensure applicable lessons learnt are used, understanding the change impact within and across project system boundaries.
You coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties, in accordance with contractual requirements and SBM’s internal requirements.
You may be assigned as a Responsible Engineer with technical responsibility for functional safety related analysis & studies conducted by third-parties.
You may be assigned to lead other engineers on defined scope of work.
You may act as Discipline Lead for an assigned scope or work.
Education   Engineer Diploma in relevant discipline
Experience   10 to 15 years in Oil & Gas Industry
Functional Competencies     Engineering design and calculation tools
Concept development
Detailed design
Systems Engineering
Functional Safety – SIL and LOPA
Site engineering
Analysis
Planning
Hard Requirements     Experience in  functional safety  related analysis & studies is required.
Experience in oil and gas industry is required.  EPC projects.
Offshore experience is preferred.
Background:
Ideally I&E/ICSS – Could be SLP also but definitely not Process or another discipline.
