Global Reliability and Maintenance Advisor Purpose
As Global Reliability and Maintenance Advisor, you ensure that facilities, equipment, and machinery operate efficiently and effectively. You are responsible for providing expert advice on best practices for maintenance and reliability, including preventive, predictive, and corrective strategies. This often involves consulting with various departments to address their specific needs.
Responsibilities
You play a key role in optimizing the performance and longevity of equipment and facilities, ensuring they operate smoothly and efficiently.
You assist in diagnosing and resolving issues related to equipment and machinery. This may involve hands‑on work or coordinating with other technical staff to identify and address problems.
You ensure that maintenance activities comply with relevant regulations and safety standards. This includes keeping up‑to‑date with legal requirements and industry standards.
You maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs of repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules. You prepare reports for management to review performance and identify areas for improvement.
You train and mentor maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. This might include organizing training sessions or providing on‑the‑job guidance.
You identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and practices. This could involve adopting new technologies, revising maintenance procedures, or implementing best practices from industry standards.
Education
Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum of 15 years of experience in maintenance management, project management, or a related expert field.
Proven experience in leading and managing maintenance teams.
Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other maintenance software.
