Secondary Electrical engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior HV Secondary Engineer!
Our client is a leader in the design, implementation, and management of high-voltage systems. As the Senior Engineer within your project team, you are the key designer of the systems required to control, monitor, and protect all high-voltage components installed s secondary engineering work includes extensions, renovations, and new builds. Thanks to the wide variety of substations and the rapid developments in the energy transition, your work remains exciting every single day!
Your responsibilities include:
Translating functional designs and requirements into concrete designs and project plans.
Designing secondary (auxiliary) systems such as protection, control, SCADA, and monitoring systems
Designing and verifying integrated solutions based on client specifications, technical standards and guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations.
Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, drawings, calculations, and execution documents.
Supporting the Lead Engineer and Technical Manager throughout the project phases from basic design in the preparation phase to detailed execution design.
Identifying and resolving design bottlenecks, reporting findings, and performing quality checks.
What You Bring to Succeed:
A bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or a similar field.
At least 7 years of experience designing complex high- and medium-voltage systems, with requirements related to availability, reliability, maintenance, and safety.
Key competencies: a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset you strive for the best results for both the project and yourself. Strong communication skills are essential, along with analytical thinking and a results-driven approach.
