Intro information
Our client is looking for an Engineering Data Lead (Tagging & Asset Register) to support multidisciplinary offshore wind EPC projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the engineering data discipline, ensuring asset identification, tagging, and asset register integrity are structured, governed, and fully integrated throughout the project lifecycle. You will play a key role in delivering reliable engineering data for complex HVAC and HVDC offshore substations.

You will report to the Engineering Manager or Project Engineering Manager and work alongside discipline leads across Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, and other engineering teams. Acting as the link between Engineering, Information Management, Project Management, and client asset information teams, you will own the engineering data structures, tagging systems, and asset register delivery for offshore wind projects.

As Engineering Data Lead, you will be responsible for the structure, governance, and quality of engineering data throughout offshore wind EPC projects.

Your responsibilities include:

Lead the engineering data discipline with a focus on asset identification, tagging, and asset registers.

Develop and maintain tagging conventions and classification structures in accordance with RDS-PP, IEC 81346, and client-specific standards.

Ensure engineering data is fully integrated with engineering databases and asset registers.

Maintain complete traceability between engineering tags, documents, vendor data, and physical assets.

Monitor engineering data quality, identify inconsistencies, and lead corrective actions.

Coordinate tagging and asset data across Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, and other engineering disciplines.

Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding tagging and asset register deliverables.

Ensure vendors comply with project tagging standards and engineering data requirements.

What do you need

Experience in offshore wind, offshore energy, or EPC projects.

Experience with engineering data management, tagging systems, and asset registers.

Background working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.

Understanding of offshore substation systems and engineering workflows.

Knowledge of RDS-PP, IEC 81346, KKS, NKS, or similar reference designation systems.

Experience with engineering databases (such as Nexus or AVEVA) and structured asset data.
