Cable Engineer

Intro information  We are looking for a Cable Engineer to the design and engineer the underground high-voltage cable connections.

Their multidisciplinary project teams support grid expansion and energy transition initiatives by providing high-quality engineering designs and technical expertise throughout all project phases. Vacancy information  As a Cable Engineer, you will design underground high-voltage cable routes and perform route studies for new and existing connections. You will translate technical requirements into practical cable designs, carry out engineering calculations, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
In addition, you will support the technical quality assurance of designs and contribute to continuous improvement within the engineering team.
What do you need   Completed Bachelor's or HBO degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in high-voltage underground cable engineering and route design.
Experience working with Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) is a must.
Ability to perform and verify electrical, thermal, mechanical, and short-circuit cable calculations.
Experience producing and reviewing technical documentation, drawings, and engineering deliverables.
Knowledge of IEC and NEN standards and regulations. Knowledge of relevant Dutch regulations and standards is a significant plus.
Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering projects and various stakeholders.
Great command of English. Dutch language is a strong bonus.

Experience with Systems Engineering, verification, and validation processes is advantageous.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is considered a plus.
