Senior Networking Engineer

APM Terminals is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The Senior Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco networking technologies, security and industrial switching.

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
• Manage and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching technologies, including stacking, Virtual Stack, spanning‑tree, trunking, SVI, and ACL.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Network Address Translation (NAT) and its implementation in various network environments.
• Utilize Cisco ASA or similar security products to provide network security solutions and maintain a secure infrastructure.
• Possess extensive experience with Fortigate or similar security products within the field of network security.
• Work with OT environments and industrial switching equipment such as Westermo, Siemens, Moxa, and Profi Net.
• Understand and implement security measures within a logistics network, including customs perimeter.
• Provide expertise and support in Cisco Wireless LAN technologies, if available.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets the organization's requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Substantial years of experience working with Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, and protocols.
• In‑depth knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, with hands‑on experience in Cisco ASA, Fortigate and similar security products.
• Experience working in OT environments and industrial switching equipment (Westermo, Siemens, Moxa, Profi Net).
• Knowledge of security protocols and measures within a logistics network, including customs perimeter.
• Cisco Wireless LAN experience is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
