Data Analyst
Introductie
International, centrally positioned role with direct impact on the deployment of thousands of tank containers worldwide.
You have a good job. But you feel there’s more in it for you.
Maybe you’re looking for greater international impact. Or you’re ready to move beyond environments where data lags behind reality.
At our client, that’s exactly the challenge.
Today, the global fleet is still largely managed through manual spreadsheets
. Data is fragmented, often outdated, and not available in real time.
You are going to fundamentally change that.
For one of the world’s largest tank container leasing companies — managing over 75,000 tank containers globally — we are looking for a Data Analyst for an internationally focused, centrally positioned role based in Rotterdam.
In this role, you don’t just report on numbers — you directly influence the deployment, availability, and planning of tank containers worldwide
. Your work ensures that stakeholders across the globe can generate accurate, real-time reports at any moment and use them for decision-making.
This level of tangible impact is rare in a data analyst role.
OrganisatieAbout the organization
Our client is one of the largest tank container leasing companies in the world. With a global fleet and international customer base, data plays an increasingly critical role in its success.
The organization is undergoing a transition from manual, Excel-driven processes to data-driven operations with real-time insights
.
As part of the Marmon Group (a Berkshire Hathaway company), you benefit from a strong international foundation combined with the dynamics of an evolving organization.
The culture is open, international, and results‑driven, offering significant responsibility and room for initiative.
FunctieYour challenge
As a Data Analyst, you operate at the heart of an international operation. You ensure a single source of truth and support the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
You work with data from multiple systems — including ERP (legacy), CRM (Dynamics), WMS, and depot software — and translate this data into clear, actionable insights
.
You identify deviations and convert them into concrete actions that directly impact operations.
You ensure stakeholders no longer rely on outdated figures, but instead work with real-time dashboards and reporting that drive international decision‑making.
You report directly to the Global Fleet Manager and collaborate closely with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and IT
.
Although you work within an international team, your role is centrally positioned in Rotterdam
, supporting global fleet management across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and China
.
The first months are critical for success. You start by taking over existing processes and ensuring continuity in reporting. From there, you progressively improve, automate, and professionalize data and dashboards.
What will you do?
- Consolidate, structure, and validate data from multiple sources
- Ensure reliable and consistent data across global operations
- Build and improve real-time dashboards and reporting in Power BI
- Develop and monitor KPIs for the global fleet
- Analyze deviations and drive performance improvements
- Translate data into actionable insights and business decisions
You make the difference by making data usable — not just visible
.
You are a strong business partner who listens carefully to stakeholder
s and translates their needs into practical data solutions
. You facilitate collaboration across regions and connect people, processes, and data. While having a solid understanding of data and analytics, you do not get lost in technical details and remain focused on business impact. You know how to strike the right balance between constructively challenging stakeholders and supporting their objectives.
Your profile
This role suits you if you look beyond numbers and want to make a real impact in an international supply chain environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (e.g. in Data, Supply Chain, or Business Administration)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst within a logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environment
- Strong skills in Excel, Power BI…
