Digital Workplace Engineer Join MSIG Specialty Marine and help shape our digital workplace At MSIG Specialty Marine, technology is at the heart of how our people connect, collaborate and work effectively. We are looking for a Digital Workplace Engineer to join our IT team in Rotterdam and help deliver a secure, reliable and seamless technology experience for colleagues across the organisation.

This is a hands-on, business-facing role where you will combine technical expertise with a strong customer focus. You will work with modern Microsoft technologies, solve day-to-day challenges and help continuously improve the way our people interact with workplace technology. Working across Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra , Windows 365, endpoint devices and collaboration technologies, you will play an important role in ensuring our colleagues can work productively and securely, wherever they are.

As our Digital Workplace Engineer, you will be a key point of contact between IT and the business, providing both onsite and remote support while helping to develop and improve our modern workplace environment. You will take ownership of technical issues from initial diagnosis through to resolution, support the lifecycle of workplace devices and services, and work closely with colleagues across IT, external partners and business stakeholders.

Beyond day-to-day support, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to technology rollouts, automation, service improvements and the continued evolution of the digital employee experience.

What you’ll be doing

Supporting our colleagues
  • Provide high-quality onsite and remote support for workplace technology incidents and service requests.
  • Act as a trusted IT contact for users, including responsive support for senior and business-critical stakeholders.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system and application issues.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, One Drive and SharePoint.
  • Take ownership of issues through to resolution and keep users informed throughout.
Managing devices and endpoints
  • Deploy, configure and maintain Windows 11 devices and workplace technologies.
  • Support Microsoft Intune-managed endpoints and Windows Autopilot deployments.
  • Manage device onboarding, refresh, replacement and retirement.
  • Maintain endpoint security, compliance and configuration standards.
  • Help ensure accurate asset and inventory management.
Supporting Microsoft 365 and collaboration
  • Support Microsoft Teams, collaboration services and meeting-room technologies.
  • Assist with user provisioning, access requests and licence administration.
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 productivity and collaboration services.
  • Support the rollout and adoption of new Microsoft
    365 features and workplace technologies.
Supporting the employee lifecycle
  • Deliver a smooth technology onboarding experience for new colleagues.
  • Prepare and deploy laptops, devices and workplace equipment.
  • Support internal moves and role changes.
  • Ensure leavers are processed securely and in line with asset-management procedures.
Keeping our workplace connected
  • Support meeting rooms, audiovisual equipment and hybrid collaboration technologies.
  • Troubleshoot issues affecting meetings and presentations.
  • Carry out routine checks to keep workplace technology running effectively.
  • Coordinate with technology vendors and support partners when required.
Security and continuous improvement
  • Support endpoint compliance, vulnerability remediation and workplace security initiatives.
  • Follow and help maintain security, operational and service-management standards.
  • Identify recurring issues and help develop longer-term solutions.
  • Analyse service trends and identify opportunities for automation and optimisation.
  • Support technology pilots, testing and deployment activities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, user guidance and knowledge articles.
