Job Description ## The role

You will ensure successful testing and quality assurance for the SAP S/4

HANA rollout by owning test planning, progress and defect management across the programme, at the client — a leading international distributor of steel pipes, valves and fittings. You will work closely with the delivery leads, integration teams, business process owners and the Programme Manager and report into the IT Programme Lead. A success looks like stabilized test governance with clear pass/fail criteria met for all wholesale scenarios and a low post-go-live defect rate with stakeholder sign-off across markets.##

Our client is a well-established, internationally operating organization within the  manufacturing and distribution sector. With a strong presence across Europe, they are  currently in a critical phase of their digital transformation, with SAP S/4

HANA at the  core.  The organization is now entering the deploy and go-live phases of several key  programs and is looking for a hands-on SAP Test & Cutover Delivery Lead to ensure  successful system readiness, integration, and business continuity.  This role is focused on execution, coordination, and delivery — not governance or  high-level program management.## What you will do
* Define and own the end-to-end test strategy and plan for S/4

HANA wholesale scenarios, ensuring coverage across integration and end-to-end processes.
* Run progress management and test governance across distributed test teams, reporting clear metrics and escalation paths to Programme stakeholders.
* Lead defect management practice: triage, prioritisation, tracking and closure to ensure timely remediation ahead of go-live.
* Coordinate cross-team dependencies and stakeholder alignment (business, integration, infrastructure) to remove blockers and keep the test programme on schedule.
* Coach and mentor testers and local test leads to raise execution quality and adoption of tools and structured approaches.## What you bring
* Minimum 5 years' proven experience managing testing,or integration management , specifically on S/4

HANA rollouts.
* Demonstrable experience in test planning, progress management and defect management on large programmes.
* Hands-on experience preparing and executing SAP cutovers
* Experience working in deploy / go-live phases of SAP implementations
* Strong coordination skills across business, IT, and external partners
* Practical experience with Tester suite (preferred) or equivalent test management tools.
* Strong communicator, customer-focused, self-starter with initiative and a structured approach.
* English — fluent for stakeholder communication and reporting.
* Located in or able to travel to Rotterdam for on-site coordination when required.
