Operations Expert - Trucking

What will you do?

As an Operations Expert – Trucking, you play an important role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of renewable fuels by road. Every day, you coordinate transport activities, solve operational challenges, and work closely with transport companies, terminals, customers, and internal teams.

No two days are the same. You enjoy finding solutions when unexpected situations arise and continuously look for ways to improve processes. Your insights help us operate more efficiently while maintaining excellent service for our customers.

Your responsibilities include:

• Coordinating daily truck transport operations from terminal to customer.
• Monitoring transport schedules and resolving operational issues.
• Communicating with transport companies, terminals, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Identifying process improvements and helping implement smarter ways of working.
• Analysing operational data and preparing reports using Excel, Power BI, and Business Central.
• Supporting projects that improve operational performance and customer satisfaction.
• Maintaining accurate process documentation in SharePoint and other systems.
• Contributing to a safe, compliant, and efficient supply chain.

Connex is growing rapidly and has an ambitious goal of handling 1,000,000 metric tonnes of renewable fuels in the coming years. Most of this volume arrives by truck, making this role essential to our success.

You have experience in logistics, transport, supply chain, or trading operations and enjoy working in a fast-moving environment where every day brings new challenges.

You will likely recognise yourself in the following:

• Around 5-10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transport, or operational excellence.
• Experience with trucking operations, terminals, trading operations, or transport planning.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as Business Central.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Experience using SharePoint or similar process documentation tools.
• An analytical mindset and the ability to solve operational problems quickly.
• Strong communication skills and confidence when working with different stakeholders.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining organised.
• A proactive attitude and a drive to improve processes.
• Experience in renewable fuels, commodities, or trading is an advantage but not essential.
