C.H. Robinson is looking for an Intern to support an important seasonal project within our Robinson Fresh division in Rotterdam.
In this internship, you will support a key project focused on helping facilitate the sale of Brazilian fresh produce, while also assisting with other products and activities across the business.
This is a hands-on, administration-focused internship where you will gain valuable exposure to the fresh produce supply chain, agriculture, retail requirements, compliance processes, and international trade. You will work closely with experienced colleagues in Rotterdam and have the opportunity to learn how fresh products move through a global supply chain.
You will start by working from the office every day to support onboarding and training. Once you are working more independently, the role can move to a hybrid setup, with approximately 3 days per week in the office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Review documentation received from customers
- Check pesticide information, including the type and quantity of pesticides used
- Review social accreditations, certifications, and other compliance-related documentation
- Assess whether specific product lots meet retailer requirements
- Help determine whether products can be sold to specific retailers based on documentation and compliance standards
- Follow up with farmers or suppliers when documentation is incomplete, unclear, or incorrect
- Work closely with colleagues in Rotterdam to support daily operational and administrative activities
- Gain hands-on experience in fresh produce, agriculture, retail compliance, and supply chain processes
- Learn internal business processes and systems used within a global logistics and supply chain organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Driven, highly motivated, and comfortable working with administrative tasks and documentation
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Portuguese language skills
- Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
- Currently pursuing the last semester of studies or recently graduated
- Interest in supply chain, agriculture, fresh produce, retail, logistics, or international trade
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive priorities
