Position: Team Leader – Manufacturing (m/f/d South-East)
For our client, a leading and highly innovative industrial technology group, we are looking for a  Team Leader – Manufacturing (m/f/d)  based in the  Rotterdam Area (South-East) .

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you are directly on the shop floor, ensuring the daily flow of production while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within your shift.

Shop Floor Leadership:  Act as the direct supervisor, mentor, and first point of contact for a team of around 25 skilled assembly technicians, ensuring a safe, motivated, and productive work environment.

Daily Production Control:  Monitor the daily production workflow on the floor to ensure that output targets, quality requirements, and delivery deadlines are met.

Shift & Personnel Planning:  Take care of practical day-to-day planning, including shift schedules, optimal personnel allocation, and managing capacities during peak times or absences.

Hands-on Process Improvement (Lean, 5S, Kaizen):  Actively support and implement continuous improvement initiatives. You will guide your team in maintaining 5S standards on the shop floor and encourage a daily Kaizen mindset to eliminate waste and optimize workflows.

Interface Function:  Ensure smooth communication within the plant by collaborating daily with Production Managers, Work Preparation, administrative support, and your fellow Team Leaders.

Your Profile

Technical degree or certificate at MBO 4 level, or a master craftsman qualification, in a relevant industrial field such as Mechatronics, Structural Steelwork, or Mechanical Fitting, or a similar discipline.

Proven hands-on leadership experience as a Team Leader, Shift Supervisor, or Werkmeester within an industrial manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with modern manufacturing environments utilizing LEAN principles, with practical experience working within a 5S or Kaizen-driven culture and an understanding of how to maintain these standards on the floor (relevant training can be provided).

Strong communication skills, a highly structured way of working, and a natural, engaging approach to leading and motivating people.

Fluency in the Dutch language and a good command of English.
