Job Description
The purpose of this role is to provide real-world experience, learning industry technical and professional skills, abilities and activities to contribute to the Dentsu network.

Are you curious, creative and always online? Do you not only want to create content, but also understand why it works? And would you like to do that at an international marketing and CXM‑agency where innovation and AI play a major role? Then this Marketing & Communication internship at Merkle Netherlands is for you.
What will you do?- You manage our social media channels from A to Z: from content planning to posting and optimization;
- You write catchy social copy and create visuals (experience with tools such as Figma, Adobe or Cap Cut is a plus – but we also like to teach you);
- You keep our internal digital signage‑system up-to-date, so that colleagues always know what is going on;
- You work together with colleagues from the Netherlands and other countries within Merkle and dentsu;
- You will help organize (online and offline) events, such as Agency at Night – from concept to execution;
- You monitor and analyze marketing results (such as reach, engagement and growth) and learn how data makes marketing smarter;
- You will develop your marketing and AI‑skills through training courses and modules from our knowledge base;
Do you have a creative idea for content, a new format or smart use of AI? Then you get the space at Merkle to work this out and test it.

Whoare we looking for?
- You are a college or university‑student (at least 2nd year) in Marketing, Communication, Media or a similar direction;
- You are interested in marketing and social media and want to learn a lot about it;
- You enjoy writing and creating creative content;
- You are curious about new tools and technologies, such as AI;
- You work independently, take initiative and dare to ask questions;
- You are fluent in Dutch and preferably also English;
- You will be available at least 4 days a week from September 2026;
- An internship allowance of €500 per month (on a full‑time basis);
- Your own laptop and access to all the necessary tools and software;
- Intensive guidance by experienced marketers;
- A lot of responsibility and trust – you are really part of the team;
- A nice working environment in Rotterdam with…

- fruit and really good coffee (including espresso machine);
- And of course: fun! Pub quizzes, sports activities, drinks, parties and more – online and offline.
