JD Young Category Assistant Internship

Position: JD Young Internship Program – Category Management Intern (3–6months)

This role is part of the JD Young Internship Program, designed for early‑career talent with 3‑6‑month duration.

• Assist Category Managers in daily operational tasks, including data entry, report generation, and market research.
• Support the development and execution of category strategies, promotions, and marketing campaigns.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities and threats.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure product availability, accurate product information, and timely delivery.
• Help analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and customer feedback to recommend improvements.
• Prepare presentations and summaries for internal stakeholders regarding category performance.
• Maintain accurate product listings and pricing information on the  platform.
• Assist in resolving vendor and customer issues related to product category.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in e‑commerce, retail, or a related analytical role (internship experience will be considered).
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
• Proactive and detail‑oriented with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with e‑commerce platforms and online retail dynamics is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
