Test Engineer

At CEYAS, we are developing intelligent automation solutions for on site trailer movements. We combine cutting edge robotics with proven industrial automation to build safe, scalable autonomous systems that operate in real world environments.

We are an early stage startup with a clear mission: to make yard logistics smarter, safer, and more efficient.

As a Test Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, testing, and improving our autonomous system. You won’t just execute tasks, you will think along, propose improvements, and take responsibility.

You will:

• Design and implement robotics and control algorithms
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision‑making
• Work on real‑world validation and testing
• Collaborate closely with hardware and software engineers
• Improve system performance, robustness, and safety
• Take ownership of technical components from concept to deployment

You are technically strong, pragmatic, and comfortable working in a startup environment where not everything is defined yet.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
• At least 3 years of demonstrable experience as a test engineer or software developer
• Solid programming skills (e.g., C++, Python)
• Experience with system integration and testing
• Familiarity with ROS and Git Lab
• Understanding of CE marking and automotive safety analysis
• Comfortable taking ownership and working independently
• Fluent in English and Dutch at B2 level
• Possession of a category B driver’s license

• A gross monthly salary between € 3500 and € 5000 (depending on experience), plus 8% holiday allowance based on a 40‑hour workweek
• Commuting allowance: full reimbursement of public transport (2nd class, incl. Intercity Direct surcharge) or €0.23 net per kilometre for other transport (up to 100 km one‑way)
