Position: Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer,

This is a senior technical role focused on electrical development for monitoring and sensing products within the medication delivery portfolio. The Senior Principal Engineer, Electrical will lead the development of creative electrical solutions, possess strong technical capabilities and a passion for product development that saves and sustains lives.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Define design requirements and hardware specifications based on customer or user requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of electronic system architectures.
  • Lead the creation of analog and digital circuit schematics for microcontroller based systems, meeting performance objectives.
  • Analyze circuits using calculation and simulation methods to assess performance limits, environmental and load stresses, and timing interfaces to ensure consistent performance in safety critical applications.
  • Ensure successful integration of electrical design with mechanical and software elements of the system.
  • Develop, modify, and approve electrical design documentation, specifications and drawings.
  • Define appropriate test methods to verify designs meet their performance requirements.
  • Direct the layout of circuit assemblies to meet emissions and immunity performance requirements and design for manufacturability guidelines.
  • Transition products to manufacturing and ensure robust products and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external development partners.
  • Resolve competing constraints between interrelated functions required to deliver the product to market.
  • Implement data acquisition and analysis techniques to characterize design performance.
  • Execute protocols and testing required to validate the safety and effectiveness of the design(s).
  • Lead troubleshooting and problem solving related to electrical aspects of devices and associated systems.
  • Create and communicate design/test plans, tasks, work and status.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics or related Engineering and 10+ years of experience.
  • A demonstrated track record in electromechanical hardware development, preferably medical devices or other regulated products.
  • Knowledge and experience in design of embedded microcontroller based electronics devices, including digital and analog design.
  • Experience designing and testing electronic devices to meet electromagnetic immunity and emissions requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience using CAD systems for printed circuit board schematic design and layout (Altium Designer, preferred) and data acquisition software (LabVIEW).

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $120,000 to $165,000 per year and an annual incentive bonus. The actual salary may vary based on skills/experience, time in role, business line, and geographic location.
