Battery Design Engineer

HCLTech is looking for a highly talented and self‑motivated Battery Design Engineer to join it in advancing the technological world through innovation and creativity.

• Design and develop battery systems for infusion pumps, focusing on precision power delivery to ensure accurate medication dosing.
• Implement advanced safety features such as protection against overcharge, short circuits, and thermal runaway.
• Integrate real‑time monitoring and communication systems for battery health and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of battery systems into medical devices.
• Conduct performance testing and validation under various operating conditions.
• Ensure compliance with medical device standards (e.g., UL, IEC, ISO 13485, FDA).

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for battery system design.
• Strong understanding of Li‑ion battery chemistry
  , structure optimization, and thermal management.
• Experience with switch‑mode voltage regulators
  , low‑dropout regulators
  , and digital‑to‑analog converters for stable power delivery.
• Knowledge of redundant detection and execution mechanisms to prevent power failures.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  .
• 3–7 years of experience in battery design
  , preferably in medical or high‑reliability environments.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality management systems
  .

Pay Range Minimum: $88,000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $134,000 per year

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance‑based bonuses subject to company policies.
