Base pay range: $80,000.00 – $ per year

Your role at Baxter

This is a 3rd shift position. 4 days per week, 10 hours per shift (approximately 10:00 pm to 8:30 am).

What you'll be doing
  • Supervise safety measures of the lab. Assist lab personnel and improve their performance.
  • Ensure completion of all testing, including special project/protocol testing in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Assist in implementing quality and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GLP, QSR, cGMP, USP, and CDR rules and guidelines) and ensure compliance with testing SOPs and specifications.
  • Supervise the testing techniques and accuracy of all records and documentation performed in the lab.
  • Participate in proactive functions that impact production, increase efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings, improve quality, and provide new product support.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and audited. Make appropriate staffing decisions.
  • Prepare, review, and revise SOPs and specifications as required.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and calibration; internal audits are performed on schedule.
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related biological science with analytical chemistry or laboratory coursework. Minimum 5 years experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Must know operating and troubleshooting procedures for lab equipment, and quality and regulatory requirements relevant to pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing labs.
  • Must possess excellent supervisory and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate with subordinates, peers, and managers.
  • Must not be allergic to penicillin and cephalosporin drugs.
  • Must not be color blind.
