Sun Auto Tire & Service operates multiple locations across Texas and is expanding! We offer complete quality automotive repair and preventive maintenance with ASE certified technicians.

As a Master Technician / Automotive Mechanic, you ensure repairs are performed correctly and efficiently, maintain high customer satisfaction, and diagnose and repair customer vehicles following MAP guidelines and company standards.

• Diagnose vehicles according to appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Perform work as outlined on the Multi‑point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct complex and heavy‑duty repairs.
• Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals, including Store Manager, Service Consultants and customers.
• Recommend services necessary to keep customer vehicles running; document all recommendations in customer file.
• Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintain appropriate ASE certifications and renew expiring certifications.

• Minimum of 5 years automotive technician or mechanic experience.
• Proficiency using computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Valid current driver’s license.
• Current ASE certification preferred.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturdays.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Work environment includes moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials. Temperatures vary and may include extreme heat or cold.

• Stand roughly five hours per day and walk to gain access to various areas of the building.
• Regularly bend, stoop, kneel and crouch up to 10 hours per day; full range of motion with arms and hands needed.
• Lift or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Hear and speak clearly.
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth and refocus.
