Alpha Paving Industries LLC is the industry leader in Central Texas for paving and pavement maintenance. We are currently accepting applications for a full time Asphalt Milling Laborer to join our asphalt paving division. We are searching for candidates that are punctual, dependable, flexible, team oriented, safety conscience, and hard working.
EssentialJob Duties & Responsibilities
- Physical Labor supporting milling and paving operations.
- Work with accuracy, safety, and skill per job specifications.
- Work milling and paving equipment as well as learn paving operations.
- Knowledge of milling and paving operations.
- Perform paving and patchwork duties.
- Cleans and prepares specific areas of jobsite as assigned. This may include; cleaning up rubble, debris, and trash; or removing hazardous materials.
- Must maintain equipment using ongoing inspection, preventative maintenance, and proper care.
- Able to maintain ongoing awareness of surroundings, co-workers, and equipment on the job site.
- Must adhere to company safety guidelines at all times.
- Required to wear PPE and follow company uniform guidelines.
- Physical ability to work under temperature extremes and for extended hours.
- Mechanical skills is a plus.
- Employee is required to climb on and off heavy equipment.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull 50 pounds individually and 150 pounds with assistance.
- Must have visual acuity in varying degrees of light, darkness, and weather conditions.
- Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Work environment periodically exposes employees to high levels of noise and/or environmental exposures such as dust, asphalt, as consistent with a construction project.
- Must pass physical, drug test, and criminal background check.
