Hospitalist Physician

Team Health has a new nocturnist hospitalist opening 's Round Rock Medical Center in Austin, Texas. This is an established program between Team Health and HCA. Our physicians work a traditional 7-on, 7-off schedule with shifts from 7am to 7pm, 12pm-12am, and 7pm-7am.

St. David's Round Rock Medical Center is a level II trauma designated facility with 175 beds. During the day shift there are a total of 6 physicians working: 5 rounding physicians with 1 admitter, 1 swing physician who does only admissions (around 10), and 1 hospitalist that rounds in an acute inpatient rehab. At night, we have one nocturnist physician and one nurse practitioner who handle roughly 10 admissions in total.

There is full specialty support in place as well as a rapid response team to handle codes. The current EMR in place at all St. David's locations is Meditech.
