Students who advance to ACC GROW Associate III demonstrate mastery of these competencies, serve as peer mentors or project leads, and engage in high-level tasks requiring critical thinking, initiative, and professional judgment. These students evolve as emerging professionals with increased earning potential and are better prepared to meet the contemporary demands of Central Texas employers.

The ACC GROW Associate III position is designed for advanced student employees who have demonstrated strong performance and competency growth in prior GROW roles. At this level, students take on greater independence and leadership in their assigned departments, often supporting special projects, training new team members, or optimizing workflows.
Through continued mentorship and guided reflection, Associates III deepen their professional expertise in communication, leadership, and digital fluency, while contributing strategically to department goals. This role supports Austin Community College’s commitment to student success by transforming student employment into a meaningful, high-impact experience that bridges learning and career advancement.
