The Texas Agricultural Cooperative Council (TACC) is accepting applications for its Summer 2027 Cooperative Internship Program
. This program connects college students with agricultural cooperatives across Texas for paid, hands-on summer internship experiences.
Students who submit a General Application do not need to select a specific cooperative. TACC will review applicants and work to match students with participating cooperatives based on their interests, experience, career goals, location preferences, and overall fit.
Depending on the host cooperative, internship experiences may include:
- Grain operations and marketing
- Cotton and gin operations
- Agronomy, crop production, and soil management
- Farm supply and agricultural retail
- Accounting and administrative operations
- Marketing and communications
- Sales and customer service
- Member and producer relations
- Cooperative meetings, events, and special projects
- Other areas of agricultural cooperative operations
Qualifications:
- Completed at least sophomore-level coursework at a four-year university by the start of the internship
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Interest in agriculture, agribusiness, agricultural cooperatives, or related industries
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, reliable, adaptable, and eager to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Students pursuing degrees in agricultural business, agricultural economics, agricultural communications, agronomy, soil science, agricultural leadership, agricultural science, marketing, accounting, or other related areas are encouraged to apply.
All internships are paid. Internship locations and responsibilities vary by host cooperative. Housing availability also varies. TACC will make every effort to help students identify potential housing opportunities when possible, but housing cannot be guaranteed.
