Process Automation System Engineer - DeltaV
We are looking for a Process Automation System Engineer to join our team in Blue Bell, PA, Durham, NC, St. Louis, MO, or Houston, TX. As a Process Control Automation Professional, you will have the opportunity to grow with Emerson.
You will work on project teams, collaborate with diverse professionals, and apply innovative ideas to solve complex problems for our clients. We provide project management, engineering, and design services for control system projects in the oil and gas, refining, and petrochemical industries.
Responsibilities:
- Work on a project team responsible for the design, configuration, and testing of continuous and batch control strategies.
- Plan, coordinate, and review the work of other project team members.
- Develop functional requirements with customer engineers.
- Participate in the start-up of complex systems at client facilities.
- Understand project scope and financials, and identify change orders.
- Develop customer relationships and provide solutions to customer needs.
- Mentor less experienced individuals within the engineering organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Associate's degree/diploma in a technical discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3 years of experience with a 2-year degree.
- At least 1 year of experience in Process Control Automation design, configuration, testing, and startup using Delta
V. - Professional image and ability to build relationships with customers.
- Comfortable working in plant sites and navigating staircases, ladders, scaffolding, and catwalks.
- Willingness to travel to end-user locations (up to 30% of the year).
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical/Electrical Engineering.
- Experience leading small to medium-sized project teams.
- Experience with other Distributed Control Systems or PLC’s.
- Experience with reverse engineering of existing configurations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft networking and/or Cisco networks.
