Mission Critical Due Diligence and Planning Project Manager

Join HDR to help shape cutting‑edge data center and mission‑critical projects across the globe. As a Project Manager, you will lead front‑end due diligence and planning for Data Center projects, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality outcomes while driving new business growth and maintaining client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage all aspects of due diligence and front‑end planning projects for Data Centers, with potential to work in Semiconductor, Industrial, and Infrastructure projects as well.
  • Manage and lead multi‑disciplinary project teams consisting of engineers, scientists, and specialists to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Travel 10‑30% to project sites and client meetings, including international if needed.
  • Control project budget, scope, and schedule.
  • Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Handle forecasting, invoicing, and contract management.
  • Promote HDR through regular client interface.
  • Participate in mission‑critical staff recruiting working closely with the Business Group Manager.
  • Create vital proposal content including scope, schedule and budget.
  • Lead HDR at interview presentations.
  • Work cooperatively with local office leads, other business group leads, technical directors, and marketing managers.
  • Actively participate in project pursuits and developing project scope.
  • Independently coordinate work of professional staff of Architects and/or Engineers.
  • Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
  • Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance.
  • Conduct work sessions for design development and contract documents in conjunction with multidisciplinary staff.
  • Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of documents on schedule.
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed‑to schedule.
  • Facilitate/participate in project reviews in collaboration with Accounting and technical team management.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture.
  • Professional Engineer or Licensed Project Management Professional.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 7 years related experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years project management experience.
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills.

Salary & Benefits

Compensation: {Denver, Chicago, or Minneapolis}: $122,455 – $174,350.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short and long‑term disability, life insurance, an employee assistance program, paid time away, parental leave, paid holidays, a retirement savings plan with employer match, employee referral bonus and tuition reimbursement. The package is for full‑time regular positions; temporary and part‑time roles are eligible for limited benefits.
