Position Summary

The Assistant Technical Manager supports the Technical Manager in leading the arcade’s technical operations. This role ensures that games and equipment are maintained in top condition, assists with supervising technicians, and provides leadership coverage when the Technical Manager is unavailable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Technical Manager with interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating technicians.
  • Provide direction and support to technical staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of assignments.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on games and attractions to minimize downtime.
  • Help develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and documentation.
  • Manage and track parts inventory, ordering, and usage to control expenses.
  • Communicate technical and operational issues promptly to the Technical Manager and General Manager.
  • Act as the senior leader on duty when needed, ensuring smooth arcade operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Train technicians on core duties, including equipment maintenance, collections, and security procedures.
  • Assist with setup, tear down, and game moves at other locations as required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Technical Manager or General Manager.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  • 3–5 years of arcade technician or related technical repair experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Leadership ability with prior experience directing or mentoring staff.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
