Behavioral Health Counselor

The Behavioral Health Counselor will provide therapeutic mental health services to adults, children, youth and families throughout Williamson and Burnet Counties. Counseling services will be provided in BTCS facilities/offices and/or may be provided in vivo or via Tele-Video, as appropriate and approved by the Counseling Supervisor.

• Provide evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Play Therapy, and CPT.
• Complete clinical intake, assessment, and hospital discharge follow-ups, and brief substance use disorder counseling and SBIRT assessments.
• Track and complete required agency and license trainings.
• Maintain a minimum of 55% billable time per hours worked starting the 4th month of employment.
• Complete documentation within 24 hours of service completion.

• Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field and licensure as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.
• Two years experience working with individuals with severe mental illness.
• Experience providing CBT, TF-CBT, CPT, and/or play therapy in a community clinic setting.
• Experience working with individuals, groups and families.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• LCSW clinical licensure preferred.
• Preferred bilingual.

Williamson and Burnet Counties

• .75/hour - Bilingual
• Up to $2.00/hour - Previous experience with a community center in Texas in a similar role
• Up to $4.00/hour - Tenure with BTCS
• $1.00/hour - PhD
• .50/hour - LCDC
• $200 Monthly Service Delivery Bonus
