Regional Assessment Specialist. Action Behavior Centers is expanding to bring exceptional care to underserved communities, and we're looking for a passionate Regional Assessment Specialist to lead the charge in shaping the future of ABA therapy s is an opportunity to shape a clinic's success and make a lasting impact on families by expanding access to life-changing services.
What you will be doing as a Regional Assessment Specialist- Complete initial training on the ADOS-2
- Administer and score the ADOS-2 with a high level of reliability
- Complete written summaries of ADOS-2 results to be reviewed by referring clinicians and physicians
- Seek consultation for cases where validity might be impacted
- Participate in ongoing reliability checks to ensure maintenance of reliable administration and scoring
- Testing will be done in 1-3 clinics within the region, with a set schedule of 1 location per day
- Must have flexibility to travel during training
- Proficiency with Mac Book and Google Workspace or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to their use
This is an ideal role for a candidate with an interest in assessment and diagnosis of autism and other developmental disorders. The opportunity provides in-depth exposure to understanding autism through working with a diverse population of children with developmental concerns, as well as becoming an expert on the ADOS-2, considered one of the gold-standard tools. The position is a good fit for someone who enjoys a predictable schedule and routine of a certain number of assessments per day.
Previous training or experience with the ADOS-2 is a bonus, but not required. Training will be provided with ongoing support from the regional licensed psychologist and broader assessment team.
- Applicants must have completed their Master’s degree required in psychology, school psychology, education, counseling, or related field
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong behavioral observation skills
- Good time management
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
- Natural ability to connect with children and parents; ability to engage with children on the floor
- Coursework in standardized assessment with related experience preferred
- Experience working with individuals with autism
- Demonstrates strong self-initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to work autonomously, manage responsibilities efficiently, and seek solutions proactively
