Job Overview
Under the direction of the Behavioral Health Services Manager, this position will work with adults and their families to deliver person centered case management, skills training and medication education primarily in a clinic setting. This position is responsible for conducting routine psycho-social-emotional needs assessments, completing Person-Centered Recovery Plans, assisting adults and their families with accessing community resources, providing rehabilitative services, and initiating crisis intervention when needed.
All services are documented in a state of the art electronic health record and provided in collaboration with a multidisciplinary and trauma informed recovery team.
Services provided by the person in this position should promote recovery and wellness, community integration, independent living within the community and improved quality of life.
The person in this position needs a passion and aptitude for working with individuals who have chronic and severe mental health needs. Knowledge of psychotherapeutic medications, case management functions, substance use treatment, crisis services, community resources, and evidence-based practices in the behavioral health field is critical for success in the position. Successful candidates will practice innovative thinking, patience, organization, time management, resiliency, skills in advocacy, service coordination, mental health assessment and evaluation, collaborative person-centered recovery planning and dual-diagnosis treatment.
The person in this position will effectively work independently and on a team, prioritize needs during crisis situations, engage in regular meetings, staffing, and training opportunities, and perform other duties as assigned with a positive attitude.
Hourly Salary Range: $21.46 – $30.71
- Up to $4.00/hour – Tenure with BTCS
- $0.75/hour – Bilingual
- Up to $2.00/hour – prior experience in a similar role with a community center in Texas
- $1.00/hour – Masters Degree in Human Services
- $1.00/hour – Advanced Licensure
- $0.50/hour – LCDC Licensure
- Eligibility for $200/month Service Delivery Incentive Award

Qualifications CredentialsMinimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in a social, behavioral, or human service field or any bachelor’s degree with coursework equivalent to a major in a social, behavioral, or human service field.
- Knowledge of mental health diagnosis.
- If major is another field must have sufficient hours for a major in the above fields.
- Ability to work as a member of a team within a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment is essential to this position.
- Must have a Texas Driver’s License.
- Master’s degree and/or clinical license in psychology, education, social work, or a related human service field.
- One-year work or practicum/clinical experience in case management, crisis intervention, and /or psychosocial rehabilitative services.
- Bilingual in American Sign Language or Spanish Preferred.
