Associate Attorney – Round Rock, TX
Base salary: $90,000–$105,000 per year plus applicable bonus. This is a full‑time, full‑benefit position.
Responsibilities- Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties
- Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and other documents in active litigation files
- Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action
- Advocate on behalf of the client’s interests at various litigation settings
- Utilize internal proprietary software to update and document the status of each account in the assigned inventory
- Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and files, as assigned by Managing Attorney, to ensure proper workflow pursuant to firm and client expectations
- Comply with all client and firm standard operating procedures
- Travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Admitted to practice law and in good standing in Texas
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated self‑starter
- Eager to learn and grow
- Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload
- Effective communication in a common language with individuals or groups, verbally and/or in writing
- Proficient computer and phone usage
- Commit to a minimum of a 40‑hour flexible workweek
- Ability to read and comprehend position‑specific documents and correspondence
- At least one year of litigation/trial experience
- Working knowledge of civil procedure
- Debt collection experience
- Prior experience in a high‑volume environment
- Capable of lifting five pounds or greater
- Capable of sitting 90% of the workday at times
- Capable of bending at the waist and being mobile when needed
- Capable of concentrating and using critical thinking
