Product Management Consultant – Datacenter Power & Cooling Infrastructure

Power Edge & Datacenter Infrastructure Product Management Team

Product Development Management is a fast-paced environment where innovative thinking is prized. Our team focuses on the delivery of products and computer-based systems for external customers. We lead and deliver the entire lifecycle from product definition and planning through to production and release, and we oversee modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product line. To make the whole process run smoothly and seamlessly, we're experts in project management, from initiation through to delivery, and liaise with other departments on technical matters.

Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Product Management Consultant – Datacenter Power & Cooling Infrastructure on our Power Edge Product Management Team in Round Rock, Texas or Hopkinton, Massachusetts.

What you'll achieve

As a Product Management Consultant, you will define and drive the roadmap for power and cooling infrastructure offerings — rack power distribution, PDU and busway solutions, liquid cooling (direct-to-chip and immersion), coolant distribution units (CDUs), rear-door heat exchangers, and thermal management solutions — that complement and unlock the full performance of the Power Edge server portfolio, particularly for AI and high-density deployments.

This role requires deep expertise in datacenter power and thermal technologies, a strong grasp of the datacenter market and competitive landscape, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams including the CTO organization, engineering, supply chain, and ecosystem partners.

You will:
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for power and cooling infrastructure offerings — from market definition and requirements through launch, sustaining, and end of life — in close partnership with CTO, engineering, and strategy teams.
  • Define the power and cooling roadmap in lockstep with Power Edge server and AI/GPU platform roadmaps, ensuring thermal and power solutions are ready to support next-generation, high-density compute at launch.
  • Evaluate build/buy/partner options for cooling and power technologies, and manage relationships with ODM/OEM partners, cooling vendors, and facility infrastructure providers.
  • Develop solid business cases — including attach-rate models, solution bundling, and TCO analysis — and present to senior leadership to make the case for your portfolio.
  • Evangelize Dell's power and cooling offerings, and their value to the Power Edge portfolio, with sales, Centers of Competency, partners, and customers.
  • Work with cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, procurement, and services to drive roadmap planning and execution.
