Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Registered Nurses (RN) play a pivotal role within Baylor Scott & White Round Rock Medical Center. The CVICU RNs at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Round Rock care for both CVICU patients and ICU patients on this 26-bed mixed acuity unit with 6 dedicated CVICU beds with a primary focus on CVICU patients. Typical ratios consist of 1:1 for high acuity patients, 1:2 for general ICU patients and 1:3 for Intermediate Care (IMC) patients.

The ideal CVICU RN would have at least one year of CVICU RN experience, two years preferred.

Baylor Scott & White Round Rock hospital is equipped with 101 beds, a Level II Trauma Center, and Level IV Maternal Designation. This full-service hospital provides a wide network of medical expertise and resources and was as an enhanced ability to care for patients. The medical center, adjacent specialty clinics and freestanding cancer center provide a full range of personalized care in more than 40 specialties.

Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum one year of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN experience, two years preferred
  • License/Certification: RN – Registered Nurse, BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
