Clinic RN – Texas Oncology, Round Rock

Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! This full‑time position will support the Medical Oncology department for the Round Rock location (2410 Round Rock Ave #150, Round Rock, Texas 78681). It is a Monday‑Friday 8:30am‑5pm role with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

What is the Long‑Term Incentive Plan (LTIP)?

LTIP is an incentive program that typically vests over a three‑year period and is tied to both individual performance and the operational success of the company. Awards are discretionary, reviewed and approved during the annual compensation review, and are subject to continued employment. They are governed by the LTIP terms and conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
    • Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
    • Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
    • Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
    • Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
    • Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments for patients.
    • Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient chart.
    • When necessary, facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
    • Assist patients in locating available community resources.
  • Inter‑professional collaboration.
    • Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
Qualifications Level 1
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 0–3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology.
Level 2 (in addition to Level 1 requirements)
  • 3–5 years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology.
Level Senior (in addition to Level 1 and 2 requirements)
  • Five years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology.
Working Conditions

The work environment includes possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Physical Requirements

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
